Why did you decide to volunteer with Kent State after graduating?

After retirement, I found a lot of time that I could spare to volunteer in serving others.

What are your favorite memories at Kent State?

The whole period (1966-71) that I spent at KSU had a lot of very good memories. One memorable event was the visit by the international students to President White at his residence (First quarter, 1966) where we had the chance to talk to him and his wife. I was thrilled when I told him and his wife that I come from the city of Ramallah which is close to Jerusalem-Jordan. They both told me that they know the city, which they visited recently. This event made me feel at home and almost ended my homesick feeling. The rewards of hard work at KSU are also another memorable issue that I could write an article about.

What advice would you share with someone looking to volunteer with Kent State?

Go ahead and volunteer with KSU it is a win-win activity.
