Their Story
Darcy and I met in the MACC Annex in August 1998, I was an incoming graduate assistant for Intramural Sports and she was an undergraduate student working for Recreational Services. We started dating in September 1998. We have two wonderful boys and built our life at Kent State where I started working full-time for Recreational Services after graduation in May 2000. We are coming up on our twentieth wedding anniversary this June.
The Proposal and Marriage
Our first trip to visit my family in Pensacola, Florida in May 1999. She was asleep the day after we arrived because of the long drive, so I left her there and bought an engagement and proposed to her in the living room of my mothers house. We decided not to get married until after she graduated in May 2001, but were subsequently married in June 2001.
How Greg and Darcy Remain Connected to Kent State
We still have relationships with former college friends, I still have connections with many of my former students and keep up on their lives and families. We both support Recreational Services, Club Sports, Intercollegiate Athletics and some our programs.
