Aeronautics and Engineering Students Win Big at Athletic Academic Honor’s Dinner

The College of Aeronautics and Engineering celebrates the recent achievements of its student athletes.

The ºÚÁÏÍø Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recognized several students enrolled in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering this past Sunday, April 28 at the annual Judith K. Devine Athletic Academic Honor’s Dinner. Students were rewarded for their scholastic achievement as well as their leadership skills.

The following students received the Academic Athletic Excellence Award, which is presented to the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students with 3.25 or higher cumulative grade point averages.

The following students also received the MAC Commissioner’s Award, which is presented to the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students with 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point averages.

Berta Sanchez was also awarded the MAC Presidential Award, which is presented to the graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Wrestler , freshman Aerospace Engineering student and member of the Honor’s College, was recognized as one of the Freshmen 4.0, achieving a perfect GPA for the previous semester.

Finally, pole vaulter and Mechanical Engineering Technology senior was presented with the Merle Wagoner Award for being the male member of the senior class who has demonstrated the most exceptional combined qualities of leadership, positive image, athletic ability, and academic performance.
