Daniel A. Wolfe
VP/General Manager, and Aircraft Captain, Nationwide Aviation Business Center
How did your experiences while learning at Kent State help you in post-collegiate jobs?
My time at Kent State was truly the foundation for my post-collegiate jobs. Aviation is a small community full of networking with fellow students, which played a huge role in my post-collegiate jobs. KSU provided me with great tools and instructors to help me succeed after graduation.
Did you feel adequately prepared to enter the workforce after your education at CAE?
Yes, I left Kent State as a flight instructor and went right into the regional airlines as a copilot. I hit the ground running.
What influenced your decision to work in the industry?
Aviation is an industry I always dreamed about being in and is my number one passion.
What is your favorite Kent State memory?
My favorite memory from KSU is taking check rides with Dick Schwabe. He was the most influential mentor in my whole Aviation career.
What are your thoughts on how CAE鈥檚 programs have evolved since you were a student?
Many of these programs were not available during my time at KSU, but I have followed the long overdue development of these programs and they look to be outstanding.
What do you enjoy learning about regarding current KSU students and the university?
I love staying in contact with my local alumni groups and visiting main campus for the Dick Schwabe golf outing that supports KSU Scholarships. I believe so much in Kent State and their aeronautics programs that I have become a Foundation Board Member to assist with and be included in KSU鈥檚 outstanding development!
