On June 6th, Visionary Training Resources (VTR) announced its new partnership with the College of Aeronautics and Engineering. This partnership will give ºÚÁÏÍø students access to VTR’s incredible flight training technology to prepare them for further simulator training. The partnership with Kent State will allow students to prepare for simulator training with the Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 versions of the FlightDeckToGoâ„¢ product programmed into VTR’s Pico Neo 3 headsets.
VTR’s program, FlightDeckToGo™, incorporates eye tracking technology, access to pre-recorded tips from a virtual instructor, and a fully customizable flight deck. Combined, these features make for a unique flight training experience aimed at helping students familiarize themselves with specific aircraft procedures before beginning training in a simulator. In addition to making simulator training more efficient, virtual reality training is cost efficient and has been proven to improve retention of information.
VTR has been serving the aviation community since 2017 with the goal of better preparing flight trainees for simulator training. The VTR team consists of 30 aviation, virtual reality, and sales experts, including the College of Aeronautics and Engineering’s own Dr. Stephanie Fussell.
