Spacecraft Design Lab

The Spacecraft Design Lab provides opportunities for students and collaborators to design, build, and test up to 6U cubesats, spacecraft components, and novel space exploration technologies. This lab serves as a nexus for building a coalition of researchers from broad intellectual backgrounds to address challenges in space flight, exploration, and habitation in ways engage and inspire the public and research communities alike.

Students engaged in the lab develop in-demand aerospace skills including mission planning, proposal development, prototyping and fabrication, and ultimately launch and in-space operations of small satellites.

Collaboration with other regional public and private institutions afford unique opportunities for students to connect with professional researchers and employers, and to work with cutting-edge space technology.

The Spacecraft Design Lab is administered by Jeffrey Balcerski, Ph,D.
