Since 1984, Steven Kordalski FAIA, has acted as president and lead designer of Kordalski Architects Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, a boutique architectural / interior firm specializing in modern design projects of various scales. Steve has always believed in using constraint to create simple elegant design solutions. He uncovers the true design potential within ordinary projects to make the mundane magical.

The firm has received numerous American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design Awards, and in 2014 was awarded the AIA Ohio Firm Gold Medal. In 2012, Steve received the prestigious Cleveland Arts Prize for Design. In 2019, he earned the AIA Ohio Mentor Award. In 2022, Steve was elevated to AIA National Fellow in Object 1: Design (1 of only 16 architects nationally within the Design Object that year). Also, in 2022 he was awarded the AIA Ohio Gold Medal joining only 51 other Ohio architects to have received that honor since it was initiated in1970.

Over the years Steve has exemplified a commitment to the highest architectural standards and has championed those standards to the built environment and the next generation of architects.
