LuAnn Linson Coldwell
Biography
LuAnn Linson Coldwell is a Senior Career Advisor and Career Navigation Instructor. LuAnn’s primary career community of Visual & Performing Arts includes all who create – Art, Dance, Design, Fashion, Music, Theatre, and more. LuAnn also coordinates Kent State’s Focus2 system and meets with many students and alumni who are exploring major, minor, and career options.
LuAnn brings a depth of experience and expertise from working in career advising roles at KSU Geauga and the Twinsburg Center, The University of Akron, and NEOMED. She has co-authored journal articles, presented nationally at conferences, and is an award-winning speaker. Her expertise led her to teach the “Career Advising Theory & Practice” for the Higher Education Administration graduate program.
In her free time, LuAnn also currently serves on the United Way of Portage County Board and as their Community Impact Committee chair. When she’s not studying (she’s working on her Ph.D.), she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and supporting the arts.
