The inaugural episode of 鈥淲orld Class,鈥 CCI鈥檚 new global podcast, will commemorate 9/11 by featuring a conversation with Charles (Chuck) Banks, a retired CIA senior executive who was instrumental in the logistical planning for the CIA鈥檚 post 9/11 mobilization to Afghanistan and Iraq.
The episode, which is hosted by CCI seniors Hana Barkowitz and Daniel Henderson, explores Banks鈥 experiences on 9/11 and during the initial phases of the global war on terror. Banks also reflects on the lessons college students today can learn from 9/11.
Banks retired from the CIA in 2012 after 33 years in which he led government and military organizations, supported international intelligence-gathering and paramilitary operations, and provided executive-level strategic planning. He was vitally engaged in global logistics and supply operations on 9/11 and its aftermath and now leads High-Stakes Logistics, LLC, a company that provides consulting services, training, and public speaking on leadership, international logistics, crisis operations, and interagency collaboration and communications. He has conducted seminars for the National Security Agency, Central Intelligence Agency, and US Special Operations Command staff while also consulting with Fortune 500 companies and start-up organizations on operational logistics.
