Dean Bielski’s Summer 2023 Newsletter

Greetings from Columbiana County:

Another academic year is behind us and what a great year it was. Students and faculty were engaged in research, learning, exploring and discovery. Staff members stayed busy recruiting, advising and promoting our programs. Administrators kept the gears turning and the engines fueled.

The spring semester is a time to celebrate milestones and achievements while also recognizing  the contributions of community members, alumni and business partners. It is also a time when I must pause and acknowledge the importance of having these components work together so that we can provide the best possible learning environment for our students and prepare them for life beyond the classroom.

We’ve held our pinnings, awards banquets and commencement ceremony during which the spotlight shone on our students and graduates. They are going to make a difference in our communities as nurses, teachers, therapists, business leaders, rad techs, computer experts, social workers and more. Again: they are going to make a difference.

On a daily basis, I witness firsthand the effort and commitment of our students and faculty, as well as our staff and administration. All are worthy of applause.

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Kent State East Liverpool and Salem campuses. I extend an open invitation to visit our campuses any time or to contact me for updates. You can also keep current by visiting our website at /columbiana and/or liking us on Facebook at .

Enjoy your summer!
