Mandatory Orientation for All International School of Communication Studies Students

Mandatory Orientation

The School of Communication Studies will host an orientation for international students (including graduate students) on Friday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. in Room 146 of Taylor Hall. The main purpose of the meeting is to introduce students to faculty, staff and one another. All students are welcome to attend the orientation, not just international students. In addition, ways to get involved, develop leadership skills and organizational skills, meet new people and improve one’s overall experience as a student at will be examined.

“We want students to feel welcome at and be able to take advantage of the numerous resources available, especially for international students,” Miao Liu, international student advisor/liaison coordinator for School of Communication Studies said.

Also during the meeting, a review of students’ goals and expectations, university support and resources, and key university policies, regulations and laws (including rules regarding plagiarism) will be provided.

Refreshments will be served. Please remember this date, as it is a mandatory meeting for all international students.
