Kent State sudents from all colleges converged on the Design Innovation Hub to participate in the Hospitality and Event Management Career Fair.
Majors, minors and alumni attended the annual spring event from a variety of programs, including Hospitality and Event Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Recreation, Park, & Tourism Management, Sport Administration, Event Planning, and Business and Communication-related programs, among others.
Dressed in business attire, attendees eagerly engaged with, and submitted resumes to, representives from restaurants, hotels and resorts, country clubs, entertainment venues, casinos, themed parks and other employers seeking to fill full- and part-time supervisory, management and seasonal positions, including internships. Students also took advantage of free, professional head-shots for LinkedIn profiles and resumes.
鈥淥ur career fair is a reflection of the care and commitment our faculty puts into the Hospitality and Event Management program to create meaningful opportunities for students,鈥 said Ning-Kuang Chuang, associate professor in the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration, and event organizer. 鈥淪everal of the recruiters were very impressed with the students' attendance, enthusiam, and active engagement.鈥
