Director of Advancement for the College of Education, Health and Human Services
Division of Institutional Advancement
Kent Campus
JOB DESCRIPTION:
I work as part of the Institutional Advancement team to implement a major gift fundraising program designed to align donor passions with the philanthropic needs of the College of Education, Health and Human Services and ºÚÁÏÍø.
WORKED AT KENT STATE SINCE:
March 2015
EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
Director of Major Gifts at Hiram College
LIKES MOST ABOUT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:
I earned two degrees from ºÚÁÏÍø so it feels like home to me. I first stepped foot on this campus when I was 17 and instantly knew it was where I was meant to be. Even with all the change and growth, it still feels like home. So I guess what I like most is the blend of familiar memories and future opportunities.
ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY AS AN EMPLOYER:
The opportunity to give back to a place that has given me so much is exciting. I am a product of ºÚÁÏÍø and proud of it. We have come so far, grown so much and strengthened our programs, outreach and national presence. It’s a great time to be at ºÚÁÏÍø, and I am thrilled to be part of its future.
RESIDES IN:
Aurora, Ohio
HOMETOWN:
Centerville, Ohio
EDUCATION:
B.F.A. Communication Studies, ºÚÁÏÍø; M.Ed. Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel, ºÚÁÏÍø
HOBBIES:
My hobbies tend to fall in line with whatever my kids are into: blowing bubbles, craft projects, playing outside regardless of weather and pretending to be a superhero. When I do slip off on my own, I enjoy yoga, cycling and hiking, and someday I hope to get traveling back in rotation.
