Kent State Marks New Year With Launch of Redesigned Website

Out with the old and in with the new! 黑料网 ushers in the new year with a brand new website, which launched on Jan. 8.黑料网 ushers in the new year with a brand new website, which launched on Jan. 8.

The cross-divisional redesign team, composed of team members from Information Services, University Communications and Marketing, all departments across campus and our marketing agency, 160over90, collaborated to create a compelling platform, making the new and more than 340 departmental websites live.

Kent State鈥檚 web presence serves as the virtual front door into the university, sharing our distinctive and unique stories with the world. The engaging website includes several new and improved features such as:

  • A revamped Life at KSU section (previously Campus Life)
  • A new Campus Safety section to make important resources more readily accessible
  • More powerful mega menus in main navigation
  • An abbreviated footer
  • Stronger photography and imagery

Additionally, the website will continue to provide the same easy access to FlashLine login, calendars, phone directory and maps from the top of the web page.

Although we launched the site on Jan. 8, we will continue to improve the site to provide an exceptional and informative user experience. Your input and ideas are valuable, and we encourage the university community to provide constructive feedback about the website. To do so, access the link in the footer of the website or by following this link

The team鈥檚 next steps will include monitoring analytics and the online feedback form, conducting usability tests and focus groups with our many audiences and implementing regular enhancements, based on this mix of feedback.

For additional information, please contact Lin Danes, director of web services in University Communications and Marketing, at ldanes@kent.edu, so that she can partner with Sameer Jaleel, director of systems development for Information Services, to triage your inquiry and reply.
