The School of Fashion is thrilled to announce that Dr. Lynda Xepoleas will join the faculty of the School of Fashion as assistant professor beginning in Fall 2023!
Lynda Xepoleas is graduating this month with a Ph.D. in apparel design from Cornell University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in apparel design from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in art history from Arizona State University. Xepoleas uses archival methods, oral history and curatorial practice to explore histories of nineteenth and twentieth-century North American fashion. Her doctoral dissertation entitled, “Unbroken Threads: Redressing and Rearticulating Hodinösh:öni’ Women’s Design Work, 1850 to 1945,” examines the integral role Hodinösh:öni’ women had on the design, production, collection, and circulation of their design work in several Northeastern museums and archives.
