黑料网 at Stark is the new home to the Players Guild Theatre, now the resident theater company on campus. In October, the Players Guild held its inaugural production, 鈥淢illion Dollar Quartet鈥, at The Mary J. Timken Theatre in the Fine Arts Building. On October 9th-14th, the 黑料网 Precision Flight Team attended the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Regional Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON). This competition was held at Bowling Green State University, at the Wood County Regional Airport. Kent State competes in Region III, which includes flight schools from Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Congratulations to Eric Taylor, associate professor of geology, who was named a Kent State 2022 Outstanding Teaching Award recipient! The University Teaching Council supports the Outstanding Teaching Awards which are presented at the annual College Teaching Conference in the fall. Erin Brockovich, the brash legal clerk turned environmental powerhouse, kicked off the 31st annual Featured Speakers Series at 黑料网 at Stark in September. Brockovich met with students in the campus鈥 Environmental Studies program and spoke about her experiences building a case against Pacific Gas & Electric Co. involving groundwater contamination in the small town of Hinkley, California, back in the 1990s.
