For the whole month of November through Tuesday, December 3, we’re raising funds to support the future of our Simulation Lab, where nursing students get the hands-on experience they need to become amazing nurses. And, of course, no one is more central to this effort than our beloved simulation manikin, Mani Kin!
You all remember Mani, she’s been there for you through thick and thin, helping you hone your skills. But after all these years, she’s ready for a new friend to help her favorite students hone their nursing skills. That’s where you come in!
With your generous donations, we’ll be able to expand and renovate the lab, making room for more cutting-edge equipment, advanced technology, and, yes, a new friend for Mani! These upgrades will ensure that future Kent State nurses continue to receive the highest quality education, with advanced technologies that prepare them for real-world healthcare challenges.
Every single gift made to the Simulation Lab Fund during November will be matched dollar for dollar, meaning your impact is instantly doubled! Giving at every amount all helps bring us closer to a state-of-the-art lab that’s ready to serve generations of nursing students to come.
On Giving Tuesday itself (December 3), your gift to any fund in the College of Nursing will be matched. That means you can support the Simulation Lab or any other area that’s close to your heart, and your contribution will go twice as far in helping our students succeed in their nursing careers.
To keep the excitement going, we’ll be offering special incentives and surprises throughout the month of November. Be sure to follow us on social media to stay in the loop on all the latest opportunities to make your dollars go further!
Your gift doesn’t just help Mani Kin find a friend, it helps us achieve our long-term vision of a fully renovated and expanded Simulation Lab. With your generosity, we’ll be able to create an environment where our students can practice, learn and grow with the latest technology and the best possible training. You’ll be helping future nurses develop the confidence and skills they need to care for patients, save lives and make a difference in the world.
So, whether you’re feeling nostalgic about your own days in the lab or you simply want to pay it forward for future Kent State nurses, now’s your chance to be part of something special. Let’s come together this Giving Tuesday and give Mani Kin, and the College of Nursing, the support they need!
