Generally, the Social Security Administration recommends that individuals approaching the age of 65, reach out to the SSA 3-4 months in advance of their 65th birthday to make their determination regarding Medicare.
Note that, if you do enroll in Medicare and remain working at Kent State, your Kent State medical benefits would remain primary. Medicare would be secondary.
