Patrick A. Palmieri
Biography
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests broadly include assessment and cognitive-behavioral treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. Within this domain I specialize in Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related psychopathology. A related clinical interest is assessment and treatment of sleep problems. I also enjoy training and supervising psychology graduate students and psychiatry residents.
Research Interests:
My research focuses on trauma and PTSD, specifically the latent structure of posttraumatic stress, the moderators and mediators associated with the development and maintenance of PTSD, and the assessment and treatment of PTSD. Related to these interests and also more generally I am interested in quantitative methods such as structural equation modeling and item response theory.
