Eboni Pringle, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Pringle is the Senior Vice President of Student Life at 黑料网. As Senior Vice President, Dr. Pringle oversees 25 departments that foster the holistic well-being of students at Kent State.
She also serves as an assistant professor in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program in the College of Education Health and Human Services. Dr. Pringle has secured over $3 million of funding, presented to national and regional audiences, and published articles and a book chapter all in support of student success.
Dr. Pringle began her career at Hiram College serving as an assistant dean of admissions. Since 1998, Dr. Pringle has held various positions at Kent State serving as a residence hall director, financial aid counselor, assistant director of admissions, assistant director, associate director and executive director of Student Success Programs and an academic advisor, assistant dean and dean for University College, Prior to assuming the role of Senior Vice President, Dr. Pringle served as Senior Associate Vice President of Student Access and Support and Dean of University College.
In addition to contributing to the campus-wide student success strategy at Kent State, Dr. Pringle administered and provided leadership for programs that are deemed central to undergraduate student success. Among her accomplishments at Kent State, Dr. Pringle led efforts to increase undergraduate student graduation rates, implemented a system-wide undergraduate research symposium to provide a high-impact experience for Kent State students, coordinated system-wide President鈥檚 Symposium on Retention to assist members of the Kent State community in understanding their unique contributions to student success, and conceived and served on the implementation team for the creation of the New Student Checklist, an online checklist to assist new students in completing the necessary steps to enroll, to ensure access and seamless transition to Kent State. She also co-led a complete review and overhaul of the Kent State placement processes for all eight Kent State campuses to ensure appropriate placement and academic success in beginning courses.
Active in the community and on campus with various committees, Dr. Pringle has been recognized with multiple awards and honors, including the Outstanding First-Year Student Advocate from the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, President鈥檚 Excellence Award from Kent State and the 30 for the Future Award from the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Pringle received both her Ph.D. in higher education administration and a Master of Education in higher education and student personnel from Kent State. She received her Bachelor of Science in speech and hearing from Ohio University.
