Camporese Named High School Head Coach in Florida

Former 黑料网 at Tuscarawas basketball standout Zach Camporese has been named boys varsity basketball head coach at New Smyrna Beach High School in Volusia County, Florida.

Camporese, a two-time USCAA Academic All-American and 1000+ career point scorer, graduated Cum Laude from Kent State Tuscarawas in the spring of 2020. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management degree and an overall GPA of 3.539. He also ranked 21st in the nation in scoring with 17.2 points per game and was ninth in points, with 500 during the 2018 season.

After a back injury sidelined him in 2020, he assisted Golden Eagles Head Coach Richard Tharp by compiling scouting reports for upcoming games. He was well-liked by his Golden Eagles teammates, faculty and staff at the University and was known as a hard-working, versatile and likeable player. He exemplifies a tough as nails approach and will be a steady guide for his players.

After his hiring, Camporese said, "I want to pass down every bit of knowledge I have and help my guys become successful on and off the court. I have big things planned and I am excited for this opportunity. To the New Smyrna Beach community, I am blessed and honored."

New Smyrna Beach is a D-II high school, and the Barracudas play in the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association District 7. The school was established in 1916 and has a current enrollment of 1961 students.

The 'Cudas will begin their first day of practice on November 1, 2021, with their first game scheduled for November 22nd.
