I love working at the ASC because of the supportive and collaborative environment. The team is always eager to help each other, creating a positive space where both tutors and students can thrive. Being surrounded by people who are passionate about learning and growth makes every day rewarding. On top of that, seeing students achieve their goals and grow more confident in their abilities is incredibly fulfilling. The ASC provides a great balance of professional development and a welcoming atmosphere, which makes being a tutor even more enjoyable.

I could label all 193 United Nations on a map in less than 10 minutes. I’m a little rusty now, but still know a majority as well as history associated with each.

After being with the ASC for a year now, the same energizing feeling after helping guide a tutee to build connections with material in their own way feels very rewarding. I also have to mention the friendships I’ve made through the ASC. I now find that the people like myself are tutors, SI leaders and Academic Coaches, so it’s easy to find them and sit with them in lectures and labs.

I love being able to take the information I have learned through my courses to help others understand the content better. The feeling I get after my sessions when students walk away feeling more confident than they did before brightens my day. I also enjoy the company of the people I work with and have made many friends through coworkers and students.
