Conversations with IB Scholars.”

According to Arikan, the project began as an effort to distill the experiences of the top international business scholars in an interview format to benefit Ph.D. students and younger scholars. In the meantime, he was also pursuing a research stream on creativity, so part of the interview focused on the creativity in scholarship. After the third interview, the effort gained recognition in the field, and AIB decided to house the project under its roof. Interviews span about 30 minutes and cover a range of topics including the author’s professional journey, an overview of their body of work and a number of topics they find promising for future research. Each week, two videos featuring conversations between Arikan and a different scholar are released publicly. All published videos can be viewed .

“I hope these interviews will inspire junior faculty and Ph.D. students to strive for excellent IB/strategy research in the future,” Arikan said. “Because the recordings will constitute a library, we think new scholars will visit them every year.”

Arikan received a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University.
