KENT, Ohio – The Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship announces Veronica Cook-Euell, M.A., M.B.A, M.Ed., President and CEO of Euell Consulting Group, LLC as the 2022 Spirit of Women in Business award winner.
The annual Spirit of Women in Business conference hosted by the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship will take place virtually at 11 a.m. on Fridays throughout the month of March.
“We are honored to celebrate the accomplishments of a leader like Veronica Cook-Euell who previously served in numerous roles at Kent State including as the first chair of the Spirit of Women in Business conference,” said Deborah F. Spake, Ph.D., Dean of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. “We are grateful for the valuable leadership experience and advice she has shared with countless business students.”
Cook-Euell established her consulting firm in 2003, and established the dba, Euell Construction and Consulting Group in 2020. Euell Construction and Consulting is a full-service strategic supplier diversity consulting firm with expertise in construction outreach, engagement, community liaison and minority business development, and enterprise and workforce compliance inclusion reporting and monitoring.
Cook-Euell serves as a Fractional Supplier Diversity team member with her dba, Euell Consulting Professional Services, and demonstrates expertise in community relations and development, supplier diversity strategic planning and assessment, supplier diversity equity audits social services, diversity and inclusion, entrepreneurship, organizational training with her Supplier Diversity University© sessions and modules.
Cook-Euell has been a featured presenter on the topic of supplier diversity including an invitation by the U.S. Consulate to speak in Brazil on the topic of “Value Chain-Supplier Diversity as Mechanism to Advance Equality and Promote Economic Prosperity.” She has also published numerous articles on supplier diversity including “Why We Need to Develop Schemas in Supplier Diversity” in the E & I Cooperative Services and “10 Steps to Advocacy in Supplier Diversity” in the National Association of Educational Procurement journal.
Cook-Euell has been a recipient of numerous awards and honors such as the “Amplify Inclusion Champion Award” in 2019 by the Greater Cleveland Partnership and the Neil D. Markee Communicator of the Year Award from the National Association of Educational Procurement in 2019. She also led in the Best Class in Supplier Diversity from the Greater Cleveland Partnerships Commissions on Equity & Inclusion which led to ’s placement in the Hall of Fame for Supplier Diversity in 2020.
Cook-Euell is involved in many community activities and has served on numerous boards including a current role on the Board of Trustees for the Akron Zoo.
The annual Spirit of Women in Business conference brings together women from diverse professional backgrounds to honor and empower women in business. The conference will begin on March 4 with a keynote address from Nancy Giordano, Founder/CEO of Play Big, Inc., a strategic inspiration company. Additional speakers include Geraldine Nelson, leader across academic, community, and nonprofit organizations on March 11; Amalia Munteanu, Vice President Creative Partnerships - Advertising Sales, NBC Universal on March 18; and Rosanne Potter, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, The Cleveland Foundation on March 25.
