On March 7, 2014, the Center for Applied Conflict Management (now the School of Peace and Conflict Studies) held a conference in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Center's BA degree program, which began in the 1973-74 academic year. This is one of the country's largest and most robust programs in Peace and Conflict Studies. This year is also the inaugural years of the Conflict Analysis and Management Doctoral track in the PhD program in Political Science at Kent State. The March conference celebrated both milestones.
