Overseas Exchange
As part of the University’s Study Abroad program, interested Chemistry majors with at least a 3.0 GPA have an opportunity to spend one or two semesters during their junior year at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
With over 8,000 full-time students, the University of Leicester is situated in the center of England, about 100 miles north of London. Students take a range of chemistry courses which can be substituted for their major requirements at Kent State. Some students also choose to take advantage of course offerings in English history or other aspects of English culture. In addition, students can take advantage of university-led trips to various places in England or travel on their own. A six-day excursion to Rome, Italy, is available in the Spring semester. Students enrolled in this program pay normal Kent State tuition.
