The Learning Innovations Lab hosts a variety of cutting-edge educational technologies designed to enhance hands-on learning, creativity, and problem-solving. Whether you’re exploring robotics, augmented reality, 3D printing, or classroom enhancements, our tools empower students and educators to engage with technology in meaningful ways. Each tool is sorted by its main use, but it can be applied in many other subjects and fields. View descriptions of our technology below:

Coding and STEM

 

 

  • Ozobots

    Ozobots

    • Ozobots are small, versatile robots designed to introduce coding and logic.
    • Programmed physically using markers and paper or digitally through OzoBlocky, a platform similar to Scratch

  • Lego Spike

    Lego Spike

    • A hands-on robotics kit that combines LEGO building with coding.
    • Programmed using block-based coding similar to Scratch
    • Ideal for STEM education and group collaboration.

  • Sphero Mini

    Sphero Mini

    • A compact, app-controlled robot for coding and robotics exploration.
    • Programmed using block-based coding or JavaScript.
    • Great for logic development and fun

    Original Prusa i3 MK3S+

    • The Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ is a high quality 3D printer known for its precision and ease of use.
    • Supports single color printing
    • A MacBook Pro is available in the lab for finding, editing, and slicing files
    • Ideal for prototyping, education, and hands-on learning in all subjects.

  • Bambu A1 Combo

    Bambu A1 Combo

    • Build volume: 256 x 256 x 256 mm³
    • Supports up to 4 colors in 1 print with the Automatic Material System (AMS)
    • No SD card required: Print files can be uploaded directly from the Bambu Studio App
    • A MacBook Pro is available in the lab for finding, editing, and slicing files

  • Cricut/Heatpress

    Cricut/Heatpress

    • Create precise, custom designs on paper, vinyl, iron-on, and more
    • Ideal for classroom materials, bulletin boards, and creative projects
    • A MacBook Pro is provided in the lab to create, edit, and print designs
    • Use with the Lab’s heat press for iron-on transfers and apparel projects

    Meta Quest 3

    • A powerful virtual reality (VR) headset designed for immersive learning experiences, virtual socialization, and gaming.
    • Enhances education with interactive simulations, 3D explorations, and virtual field trips.
    • Supports a wide range of educational apps for STEM, history, art, and more.
    • Wireless and standalone, providing a seamless and accessible VR experience.
    • Offers built-in support for various games and experiences, making it great for both learning and recreation.

  • Merge Cubes

    Merge Cubes

    • Merge cubes are small foam cubes that allow the user to bring digital objects to life using augmented reality (AR).
    • Using AR individuals can hold the power of the sun in their hands, inspect fossils, create cities, or explore the Earth and its core.
    • Compatable with various apps for exploring 3D models, simulations, and virtual environments
    • Great for STEM education and immersive learning experiences

    • A transparent surface that can be written on with markers that virtually flips the writing so it is legible during presentations and lessons
    • Allows educators to write while maintaining eye contact with students.

  • ClearTouch

    ClearTouch

    • A versatile touchscreen display that can lowered and tilted, and turned horizontally for accessibility.
    • Runs both Windows and Android OS for flexibility in applications.
    • Features Snowflake, an interactive software for engaging lessons and activities.
    • Supports up to 40 touches at once, screen sharing, and a pen to write or draw on the board. 
    • Ideal for classrooms, workshops, and collaborative learning environments.
