EHHS recently named two new assistant deans. Daniel Diaz Nilsson (pictured left) was named Assistant Dean for Access and Engagement; Michael Bell is the new Assistant Dean for Assessment and Accreditation. Both positions report to the dean of EHHS.
Nilsson, will manage the day-to-day academic operations of offices and initiatives related to student access and engagement and will advise the dean on academic and other related matters. Nilsson previously served as director of the Office of Diversity Outreach & Development, where he provided transformational leadership to college and university through strategic and tactical planning and implementation of DEI initiatives, programs, policy creation, and change management.
Bell will provide leadership and oversight of college-wide assessment, accreditation, and reporting activities. Before accepting his current position, Bell served as senior institutional research information officer in Kent State's Department of Institutional Research, where he conducted research studies and presented research results and insights from data, among other things.
