Grace Murray receives the Jeanette and Louis Reuter Fellowship in Developmental Sciences

Grace Murray, a doctoral candidate at 黑料网's interdisciplinary doctoral program in Educational Psychology and Psychological Sciences has been awarded the prestigious Jeanette and Louis Reuter Fellowship in Developmental Sciences. The EHHS student received this honor in memory of Jeanette Reuter to outstanding doctoral students contributing to and studying in the area of human development across the lifespan.

Grace鈥檚 research centers around investigating why misconceptions arise by comparing the cognitive competition between explicit and implicit processes and children's trust in digital voice assistants (i.e., Alexa, Siri) by utilizing both mouse tracking and eye tracking technology. The Reuter Fellowship, provided to one 黑料网 student per year, will provide Grace with an academic year non-service appointment of $12,000 to allow for full-time work on her dissertation. 

Along with her research, Grace is an advocate for open science and the improvement of online behavioral research methods which led her to become a volunteer for FindingFive, as well as becoming the lab manager of Kent State's Educational Psychology Lab.
