Two EHHS Students receive the American Kinesiology Association Award

Two 黑料网 Exercise Physiology graduate students, Modesto LeBron and Ryan Wiet, have been awarded the American Kinesiology Association award. Honorees must be nominated by faculty and can be awarded one of the four American Kinesiology Association Awards: Undergraduate Scholar, Master's Scholar, Doctoral Scholar, and the Graduate Student Writing. Both students possess distinct academic and leadership records that center around their research interests.

Master鈥檚 student Modesto LeBron focuses his work on velocity-based training, specifically the validity and reliability of velocity measurement tools which allows for the use of movement velocity during an exercise to identify the intensity.

Ryan Wiet, a Ph.D. student, studies the immune system and exercise. Particularly, he observes the relationships between cell phone use with physical activity, sedentary behavior, academic performance, anxiety, and satisfaction with life in high school-aged students. Wiet has also examined the relationship of cell phone use with physical activity and sedentary behavior in university students, faculty, and staff throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. 


The accomplished EHHS students received this honor as recognition for their academic excellence, and dedication to promote kinesiology and its related fields.
