Following the recommendation of the Foot and Ankle Clinic Board of Directors on Sept. 30, 2015, and the support of Kent State Provost Todd Diacon, Kent State President Beverly Warren has appointed Barbara Broome, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, dean of the College of Nursing, to the Board of Directors of the Kent State Foot and Ankle Clinic.
Theresa L. Sharp, Department of Mathematical Sciences, was presented with the Christofferson-Fawcett Award for “lifetime contribution to mathematics education." Steve Meiring, a retired Ohio Department of Education mathematics consultant, presented the award to Sharp at the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics Annual Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Oct. 15, 2015.

Tim Rudell named best reporter in Ohio
WKSU has received 12 Ohio SPJ Awards for 2015 from Ohio chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). The competition recognized station staff for work created in 2014. The station earned more honors than any other radio station in Ohio, and reporter/producer Tim Rudell was named Best Reporter in Ohio, the second consecutive year the award went to a member of the WKSU news staff. Awards were presented during a ceremony in Cincinnati on board the Belle of Cincinnati.
