Universidad de Almería, Spain - ISEP
is located in the sunny capital city of the Andalucía region. Situated along the Mediterranean coast, this region is home to beautiful beaches, national parks and historic villages. The mid-sized city of Almería is nestled between a beach and a mountain range, with a medieval Moorish fortress, the Alcazaba, overlooking the city. The urban city center is well connected to the historic quarter, the bustling boardwalk and the university campus. The city has a semi-arid desert climate and receives the most sunshine and least rainfall in all of Europe. Courses are taught in Spanish in areas including architecture, business, communication, computer science, education, engineering, health sciences, history, hospitality and tourism, and more.
The University of Almería offers many activities to students and for international students in particular. ISEP students immerse themselves in Spanish culture by taking university classes with local students and living in a residence hall on campus. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. Students also have an opportunity to complete an internship or volunteer while studying at Universidad de Almería.
Students who participate in the University of Almería summer program will spend four weeks in sunny Southern Spain on the coast of the Mediterranean, with easy access to beautiful beaches, natural parks, and coastal villages. Students will study intensive Spanish at the basic, intermediate, or advanced level and live with a host family, learning about local culture while practicing Spanish. Excursions to the Alhambra in Granada, Cabo de Gata Natural Park, and more are included in the program.
