Universidad Pública de Navarra, Spain - ISEP
(UPNA) is located in Pamplona, the historic capital city of the Navarra region in northern Spain. Pamplona is well known for its San Fermin Festival (running of the bulls) which takes place in July each year. The city is also an important stop along the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage route from the middle ages that is still in use today. The UPNA campus itself is located near the city center, and students can easily explore by foot all that Pamplona has to offer.
Courses are taught in both English and Spanish, in subjects such as business, education, engineering, social sciences and more. A 1-week pre-semester Spanish language course and one in-session Spanish language course are also included in ISEP benefits. For more intensive language preparation, students can also enroll in the Intensive Spanish pre-session course, which takes place before each semester. ISEP students immerse themselves in Spanish culture by taking university classes with local students and living in a shared apartment in the community or in a residence hall on campus. The university has an active student body, and ISEP students can participate in sports teams, cultural activities and student groups. Students also have an opportunity to complete an internship, volunteer or participate in a research project while studying at UPNA. The university also has a "buddy system" to help connect ISEP students with local students as they adjust to life in Pamplona.
