Université de Picardie Jules Verne, France - ISEP
(UPJV) is located in Amiens, about 80 miles north of Paris (50 minutes by train). Home of one of the largest 13th-century gothic cathedrals in France and among some of the most famous World War I battlefields, Amiens offers a rich cultural life and interesting quarters for students to explore. Its proximity to the Channel coast also provides recreational opportunities. The city offers many cultural attractions including theaters, film and jazz festivals, museums and libraries. Courses at UPJV are almost all taught in French with some additional courses taught in English. Students may select courses from a variety of departments and can combine French courses with English courses, but a French B1 level is required for all students to enroll at UPJV. The university specializes in four domains: art, literature and language; law, economics and management; social sciences; and sciences, technology and health. French language courses are also offered to students during the first two weeks of their stay, which helps students improve their French and adjust to the French-speaking educational system. International students have many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities in different associations and sports clubs.
