Now that the fall semester at Kent State is in full force, we are excited to announce that two of our most anticipated traditions will be held during the month of October. This year, Homecoming 2020 and Parents and Families Appreciation Week are going virtual and will be held the week of Oct. 5.
Homecoming 2020 – Flashes Forever: Here. There. Anywhere.
Kent State will host Homecoming 2020, a virtual celebration that will take place Monday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct. 10. Many of our classic traditions will continue as part of an exciting and engaging virtual experience, including:
- Bowman Cup 5K Walk/Run
- Kiss on the K
- Flash Nation Tailgate
- Homecoming Court with representatives from the Kent Campus and all the Regional Campuses
Additionally, we will have several fun, new virtual activities and challenges for students, alumni, faculty and staff this year. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit www.kent.edu/homecoming.
Parents and Families Appreciation Week
We are pleased to invite families to join us and share a fun-filled week of virtual activities and events as we celebrate Parents and Families Appreciation Week from Monday, Oct. 5, through Saturday, Oct 10. Interact with faculty and staff, and experience what makes being a Golden Flash so memorable. Enjoy special events, activities, giveaways and more. While you’re at it, you can also enjoy the virtual activities for Homecoming.
For more information and to plan your schedule, visit the Parents and Families Appreciation Week website.
We have planned some awesome virtual festivities for our Golden Flashes family to enjoy these Kent State traditions, so make sure to save the dates and stay tuned for updates!
Until then, Flashes Forever!
