Each year, hundreds of Golden Flashes gather across the globe to make a difference in their communities. Kent State alumni and friends have the opportunity to participate in the 10th annual Alumni Day of Service on Saturday, April 21.
Sponsored by the Kent State Alumni Association, Alumni Day of Service provides opportunities for Kent State alumni, friends and family to give back by participating in local volunteer projects while strengthening ties with fellow members of the Kent State community.
“I love the opportunity to give back to the community and work with fellow Kent State alumni,” said volunteer Diane Laney Fitzpatrick, who graduated from Kent State in 1981. “When you’re so far away from Kent, it helps to raise the profile of Kent State. When others see us with our Kent State T-shirts on, it makes a big impact and it makes people realize that Kent State is really dedicated to having their alumni give back to their communities wherever they live.”
The registration deadline is April 9. For a complete listing of volunteer sites and to register, please visit .
The Kent State Alumni Association was created in 1910 to build and sustain lifelong relationships among more than 241,000 alumni, students and the Kent State community through programs and services. For more information, please visit .
