joined 35 universities from around the world in Montreal, Canada, at the John Molson MBA International Case Competition that took place Jan. 6-11. The competition, the oldest and largest of its kind in the world, is organized by MBA students from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business.
Kent State’s College of Business Administration sent five of its best MBA (Master of Business Administration) candidates who, over six days, tackled five business case studies, including one “live” case study. The case studies were judged by more than 250 members of the Montreal business community. Kent State had a winning record of 3-2, placing 14th overall, and was second among U.S. schools. The Kent State team included Josh Hostetler, Melanie Panutsos, Zeba Mehdi, Brad Neumann and alternate Adele El Helou.
This year’s event had the greatest number of international competitors in the competition’s history. In addition to the seven American and 12 Canadian universities participating, there were 17 international schools from 14 countries and five continents. Australia, Egypt and South Africa were all represented for the first time.
