Siblings and Children to Experience Kent State With Their Older Siblings or Parents

Sibs and Kids Weekend 2017 Set for April 21-23

Kent Interhall Council will host students, faculty, staff and their families for Sibs and Kids Weekend on April 21-23.

This year’s theme is Cirque du Sib, featuring events and activities inspired by the circus and gymnastics. Activities include inflatables in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, a science show presented by the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society, Bingo and many more events.

The event, formerly called Lil’ Sibs Weekend, is open to everyone, but some activities may be restricted to the residents of a certain residence hall. Guests must be with their Kent State hosts at all times during the events.

“Sibs and Kids is a great way to get children and siblings interested in ,” said Ryan Pasquino, vice president of programming and development of Kent Interhall Council. “It allows children and siblings to have an undeniably Kent State experience with their older siblings or parents.”

Participants can register online for the entire weekend up to the day of the event. Registration is free. For participants looking for a souvenir, T-shirts are available for $8. Those registering for the weekend must bring a signed hold-harmless form in order to receive a wristband, which ensures entrance to the Sibs and Kids Weekend.

Participants will check in at the Tri-Towers Rotunda at 4 p.m. on April 21
