Fall Commencement 2024

 More than 2,500 new graduates joined the Kent State alumni family as the final cohort of the university's Class of 2025 in December Commencement ceremonies. Art Friday Lecture Series: John Chae

Every semester, the School of Art brings artists and scholars from around the country to Kent State to present their work to an audience of students and community members. All lectures are free and open to the public and take place at 12 p.m. in room 165 at the Center for the Visual Arts.

Lecture Title: "Model American"
In this lecture, John Chae will present on the visual culture of American idealism and its
proselytization across the Pacific Rim—including its reintegration via immigration, and how these moments of cultural mutation guide his work.
