Seventeen second-year students from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program rolled up their sleeves, flexed their muscles and went to work to help build the Walnut Grove Playground, an all-inclusive recreational facility designed for those with special needs. Located on Columbiana-Canfield Road in Canfield, the playground features universal design concepts and inclusiveness for all. He was one of the first pilot-lawyers to receive the Remote Pilot In Command sUAV (drones) FAA Certificate in Ohio. It’s no secret that college is difficult. But changing your program of study to adapt to your developing interests shouldn’t be. Still, there are many different rules about what students can and cannot do when it comes to changing their program. For this reason, in October of 2016 Systems Development and Innovation decided something’s got to give. Studying for final exams wasn’t the only thing keeping nursing students busy on the East Liverpool Campus in recent weeks. The students also took time from their studies to help others from the community enjoy the holidays. The Student Nurses Association at Kent State East Liverpool spearheaded a project to help provide gifts for 44 local children through the Salvation Army. Nursing students, faculty and staff participated in the outreach effort. They also collected hats, scarves, gloves and slippers.
