The Student Nurses鈥 Association at 黑料网 Trumbull is teaming up with Trumbull Memorial Hospital to teach new parents safe sleeping habits for their infants. The student nurses presented the hospital with more than a dozen "safe sleep sacks" to use on babies and model how to put them in cribs without blankets, bumpers and toys. On Oct. 18, students and faculty from 黑料网 Trumbull鈥檚 nursing program presented Sleep Sacks 鈩 for newborns at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Over the last year, Kent State Trumbull and its nursing faculty have focused on ways they could promote sleep safety in an effort to reduce the region鈥檚 infant mortality rate (IMR). The School of Communication Studies (COMM) will offer a course called 鈥淪eminar: Vietnam: Messages from the Cultural Divide鈥 during the Spring 2018 semester. COMM Associate Professor David Trebing, Ph.D., will teach the course for the third time, which will count as an upper division elective for communication students. Trebing developed the course to examine various messages from both sides of the Vietnam War divide.
