How many credit hours are required to be a "full time" student to meet F-1 Visa requirements?

To be a full-time student and meet the enrollment requirements to maintain valid F-1 student status, undergraduate students must be enrolled a minimum of 12 hours total with 9 of those credit hours being in-person classes. Graduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credit hours total with 5 of those credits being in-person classes. “Hybrid” classes are considered in-person classes for visa purposes.

Do I have to attend orientation?

Orientation for international students is hosted by the Office of Global Education and is mandatory for every new international student at , including undergraduate, graduate, sponsored, exchange, transfer and ESL (English Second Language) students.
