Smart Start Saturday New Student Orientation on August 29

Smart Start Saturday serves as new student orientation for incoming students. Held the Saturday before classes start, students are invited to attend sessions on topics such as faculty expectations, money management while in college, staying healthy and balanced, time management鈥�

黑料网 at Stark Interim Dean Denise Seachrist and Sr. Facilities Manager Brian Gardner recently presented Larry and Chuck Hoover of The Hoover Foundation with a copy of the Kent State Board of Trustees鈥� resolution that recognizes The Hoover Foundation for their鈥�

Spring 2015 President's & Dean's Lists Announced

The following 黑料网 at Stark students have been named to the PRESIDENT鈥橲 LIST. They earned a 4.00 grade point average for the 2015 Spring semester and completed at least 15 letter-graded (A, B, etc.) credit hours by the end of the semester. Pass/Fail (S, U)鈥�

Kent State Stark Bookstore Closed June 19 - July 5

The Kent State Stark Bookstore will reopen on Monday, July 6. 黑料网 entered into an agreement this past spring with Barnes & Noble College. The retailer will operate all 黑料网 on-campus bookstores, including the 黑料网 at Stark鈥�

Kent State Stark and Fairless Local Schools Form College Credit Plus Partnership

In fall 2015, Fairless High School students will be within walking distance to 黑料网 at Stark, shortening the span to their college degrees. On Thursday, May 28, Kent State Stark Dean Denise Seachrist and Fairless Local Schools Superintendent Broc Bidlack signed鈥�

Vertical Wind Turbine Installed

Through a grant facilitated by Dr. Christopher Post, associate professor of geography, the Dominion Foundation awarded Kent State Stark $28,000 for a vertical wind turbine. Wind Turbines of Ohio, located in Alliance, installed the turbine on the southeast side of the campus鈥�
