Kent State Men’s Basketball to Host Sensory-Friendly Gameday Experience, Promoting Awareness
ºÚÁÏÍø is working with area autism-focused organizations as well as KultureCity®, a nonprofit dedicated to providing accessibility and inclusion for those with special needs, to create a sensory-friendly gameday experience that can be enjoyed by all. Fans attending Kent State’s Dec. 21 mens basketball game versus Hampton University will feel an expression of the university’s ongoing commitment to its core values of kindness, mutual respect and inclusion.

Bowl Bound: Kent State Accepts Bid to Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl
The Kent State Golden Flashes (6-6) are bowling for the fourth time in school history, having accepted a bid to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl against Utah State (7-5, Mountain West).

Kent State Men’s Basketball Wins Season Opener, Freshman Player With Autism Makes History
The ºÚÁÏÍø men’s basketball team started the 2019-20 season off on a high note with four players scoring in double figures for a 97-58 opening-night victory over the Division III Hiram Terriers at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on Nov. 6. Freshman Kalin Bennett, the first true freshman diagnosed with autism to sign a letter of intent in Division I men’s basketball, made history when he checked into the contest.

From the Gridiron to Graduation: Julian Edelman Completes Passes and Kent State Degree
A helmet and pads were replaced by a cap and gown for New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman as he finished a journey he started in 2005, joining 5,300 new Kent State graduates at the One University Commencement held at Dix Stadium.
