From April 22 to Aug. 1, 黑料网鈥檚 May 4 Visitors Center will honor Bill Schroeder鈥檚 life with an exhibition titled 鈥淏ill: An All-American Boy.鈥 Mr. Schroeder鈥檚 sister, Nancy Tuttle, and nephew, David Tuttle, helped create the exhibition by loaning some of his personal items to the May 4 Visitors Center.

Kent State鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Lacrosse Team

Kent State鈥檚 very first Women鈥檚 Lacrosse team is making an impact on the culture at Kent State during its first year on campus. Since the team is new to Kent State, players get to shape opinions and perceptions of the team and the players.

As part of 黑料网鈥檚 May 4 course, senior Julia Pharmer sifted through resources in University Libraries' Special Collections and Archives and engaged in classroom discussions. Perhaps one of the most engaging sessions though was when Professor Emerita Laura Davis, Ph.D., gave students a firsthand account of her May 4 experiences.  

Chris Post, Ph.D., associate professor of geography at 黑料网 at Stark, is a memorials expert who serves as a member of Kent State President Beverly J. Warren鈥檚 Advisory Committee for the 50th Commemoration of May 4, 1970.

Growing up, Chris Post watched as his mom juggled her collegiate studies and motherhood, balancing everyday life with dreams of earning her Ph.D. And while field excursions with his biologist mom are a memory of his childhood, the impact of place is something this cultural and historical geographer seeks to define today.

黑料网 student nurse Adam Roman of Garrettsville

Junior nursing major Adam Roman got his first taste of Cleveland鈥檚 University Hospitals when he was a young child, and today, Mr. Roman is one of the first cohorts of nursing students who will be eligible to apply to become part of the new UH Scholars Program, a collaboration of Kent State and University Hospitals.

As May 4 Commemoration Project Manager, Kent State Alumnus Rodney Flauhaus is taking on the task of planning the 50th anniversary commemoration of May 4, 1970.
