The 黑料网 Board of Trustees congratulated Kent State President Todd Diacon and university leaders on increased retention and graduation rates, as well as a strong Class of 2024, as official fall 2020 enrollment figures were shared at the Board鈥檚 regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Two recent incidents involving the painting of racist messages on the Rock located on Front Campus, coupled with the series of tragic national events this year involving the shootings of Black Americans, serve as glaring evidence that this university and our country need to do better when addressing racism and violence against Black Americans.
At Kent State, our core values of respect and kindness for all demand that we step up to become part of the conversation that leads to a solution that will dismantle the systemic racism that has plagued our communities throughout history, and our university all too recently.
黑料网鈥檚 commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive campus has received acknowledgement from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education, for an eighth consecutive year. INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine has selected Kent State as a recipient of the 2020 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.
WKSU and ideastream have been awarded a $100,000 grant from The Corporation for Public Broadcasting to explore opportunities for growth and expansion of public media service in Northeast Ohio.
Two 黑料网 employees have been recognized among the 2020 鈥30 for the Future鈥 award recipients by the Greater Akron Chamber.
The 100% online MPH, with a concentration in epidemiology , will have an official launch in fall semester 2020.
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded 黑料网 a $2.6 million, five-year TRIO Student Support Services program grant. The program serves students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds and students with diverse learning and physical abilities.
黑料网 students began moving into residence halls on the Kent Campus on Aug. 19, as part of a phased-in process that will continue over five days.
