Enology students of 黑料网鈥檚 Ashtabula Campus are leaving a lasting impact with their high-quality luxury wines.
Local wine connoisseur and writer for the Akron Beacon Journal Phil Masturzo recalled in his article 鈥淔un food pairings make KSU wines shine,鈥 that upon sampling two Kent State Ashtabula Wines, he thought, why not enjoy a full glass?
鈥淚 had a glass of the Sunburst Riesling 鈥 A few more sips of the wine had me thinking that I could do this 鈥楢ll Night Long,鈥欌 Mr. Masturzo wrote. 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 be more impressed with the wine, a nice easy drinker with elderberry and blackberry flavors.鈥
Thanks to Kent State Ashtabula鈥檚 partnership with Laurello Vineyards in nearby Geneva, enology students have had the opportunity to enhance their educational experience by participating in grape growing and winemaking.
Kent State Ashtabula is home to Ohio鈥檚 only winemaking program, offering its students hands-on experience.
鈥淪o Flash some local pride and give these wines a try. I鈥檒l bet you鈥檒l be surprised how good they are,鈥 Mr. Masturzo wrote.
Kent State Ashtabula Wines are sold at Campus Wine Cellar and Kent Cheesemonger.
