Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Booming Accounting Job Market Attracts High School Students To Kent State Case Competition
Area high school students learned about the benefits of a career in accounting while participating in the 黑料网 High School Accounting Case Challenge.
Hosted by the Kent State Department of Accounting, the event brought together 85 students from Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School, North Canton Hoover High School, Aurora High School and Tallmadge High School. The competition was sponsored by The Ohio Society of CPAs, Pease Bell CPAs, Robert Fay, Ernst & Young, Novogradac and RSM.

After decades as a pastor, David Zachrich had a sudden and dramatic reevaluation of his life. A life-threatening heart attack 15 years ago forced him to step back and reconsider his path. Zachrich鈥檚 cardiologist challenged him to find something to do that he enjoyed. Zachrich immediately thought of teaching, something he very much wanted to do as a second career, and now he's won an award for it.

Kent State English Professor Reflects on Authoring New Book
Jennifer MacLure's book, The Feeling of Letting Die: Necroeconomics and Victorian Fiction, was released in hardcover and digital on Nov. 2. In this book, MacLure examines the works of authors George Eliot, Elizabeth Gaskell, Harriet Martineau, Charles Dickens and William Morris through the lens of necroeconomics. This book examines, in MacLure's words, how Victorian authors "depict the feelings that circulate around capitalism's death function."
