  • iSchool graduate Mary Plazo manages the Akron-Summit County Public Library's Special Collections. That's just her day job. But at night, this librarian from a family of musicians has been in a surf rock band, a goth rock band and a band that played folk and Americana. And that's just the short list. 

  • The Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction Selection Committee is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2025 award is THE COLOR OF A LIE by Kim Johnson, published by Random House Books for Young Readers.

  • Marcia Lei Zeng, Ph.D., a distinguished Professor of Information Science at ºÚÁÏÍø, was recognized with the prestigious ASIS&T 2024 Award of Merit, the highest honor presented by the Association for Information Science & Technology. 

  • Each fall, the Prix Ars Electronica festival transforms the cityscape of Linz, Austria, into a spectacle of electronic and digital art. In September 2024, the festival drew over 100,000 visitors to the city and artificial intelligence (AI) was a big draw for this year’s registrants, including  Honorary Mention Award Winner Associate Professor Dong Whi Yoo
