Tom Barfield
Tom Barfield joined Keeeb in 2019 after spending over 27 years with Accenture - most of that time focused on improving knowledge transfer and learning inside Accenture. During his time at Accenture, he led the global Knowledge Management and Social Learning programs. His personal goal is to eliminate any barriers that stand between people and what they need to be successful - be it information, training or other people. In his position at Keeeb, Barfield can develop solutions and partner with others to achieve this goal.
He lives in St. Charles, Illinois with his wife, Lynda, his youngest daughter, Kaelyn, and two Golden Retrievers - Bear and Blue. Barfield's two older kids are in college - Ryan (University of Illinois) and Emily (University of Colorado). A supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, he is also actively involved in his parish and in a local ministry for teens called YoungLife. He enjoy reading and rarely turn down an opportunity to golf.
Gloria Burke
Recognized internationally as a Knowledge Management and Digital Transformation leader, Gloria has a proven track record of success in helping companies harness the power of emergent technologies to deliver game-changing business results. She has developed world-class knowledge management programs for Booz & Company (now PWC), served as the Chief Knowledge Officer at Unisys and was the Global Knowledge Manager for the Risk Advisory Practice at Deloitte. In recent years, she served as the Senior Knowledge Management Leader at Charles Schwab and currently serves as the Global Director of Knowledge Management at Slalom Consulting.
Gloria’s 28+ years of knowledge management experience spans the spectrum of KM enterprise business transformation including designing and building knowledge centers of excellence, developing and nurturing communities and networks, shaping content management strategies and critical knowledge transfer programs, implementing emergent technologies to speed access to information and people, as well as shaping behavioral change management and communications programs. Gloria is known for being able to translate complex issues into pragmatic solutions that help organizations move forward. She has worked across all levels of an organization to drive knowledge sharing, foster collaboration, and build capabilities that deliver meaningful business results.
Gloria is a published author, award-winning industry thought leader, conference speaker and panelist on all aspects of knowledge management, emergent technologies and culture transformation. She has been a keynote panelist, presenter and session track moderator at KMWorld for more than a decade. Most recently, Gloria was named in the 2023 list of “The Top 100 Global Knowledge Management Leaders” by Lucidea. Gloria resides in both Plano, Texas, and Naples, Florida.
Brenda Cullen
Brenda J. Cullen is a recent graduate of the Master’s Degree program in Knowledge Management. Ms. Cullen has enjoyed a 25+ year career in legal operations, corporate governance and enterprise solutions.
Her current projects include Consultant to the NEOhio.us project, an Ohio-based organization implementing smart infrastructure throughout the Northeast Ohio region; Founding Member of the International Collaboratory of Knowledge Management Research (ICKMR), an international research organization dedicated to revealing the potential of knowledge management to further achievement and innovation in the knowledge management field; and Council Member on the FSS School Council, a cross-functional team dedicated to improving scholastic performance, achieving district objectives for grades PreK to 8, as well as promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in educational settings.
BILL EDGAR
Dr. Bill Edgar is an independent information consultant, teacher, and researcher. A former academic library manager and instructional librarian, he is currently a Knowledge Management Consultant. His extensive teaching experience includes courses in Knowledge Management, Content Management, Library Planning and Evaluation, Information Literacy Instruction, and Reference and Public Services. He is currently pursuing research on the definitions of Knowledge Management and competencies held by corporations. He has published research on the effectiveness of academic and corporate libraries, as well as on organizational strategy.
Patricia Lee Eng
Patricia Lee Eng, P.E., an engineer by trade, first learned about Knowledge Management whilst on assignment at NASA when engineers discovered that vital information from the Apollo program had been lost. Upon returning to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), she was appointed Senior Advisor for Knowledge Management (2008-2013) where she created and managed NRC’s first KM program. Her efforts saved NRC almost 60 million dollars in agency operating costs in her first two years. After retiring from NRC, she co-authored “Navigating the Minefield: A Practical KM Companion,” published by the American Society for Quality which “is the book I wish I had when I started KM – no theory just practical information that one can use to start or improve their KM program”. She also co-authored, “The KM Cookbook: Stories and Strategies for organizations exploring the ISO KM standard.” Already a certified ISO Quality Management Systems Auditor, she was certified as the first ISO KM auditor in April 2019. As such, she is certified to conduct ISO 30401 knowledge management system audits. Currently, she is writing a course to train and certify other ISO 30401 auditors expected to be available by the end of 2020.
STAN GARFIELD
Stan Garfield is a knowledge management author, speaker and community leader based in Northville, Michigan. He has worked in the field of knowledge management for over 25 years.
Stan spent 8 years at Deloitte leading communities and enterprise social networking. Prior to that, he spent 25 years at HP, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. Stan launched Digital's first knowledge management program in 1996, helped develop the corporate KM strategy for Compaq and led the Worldwide Consulting & Integration Knowledge Management Program for HP. He also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, St. Louis University School of Medicine and Washington University School of Medicine.
Stan holds a B.S. in applied mathematics and computer science from Washington University in St. Louis. He leads the SIKM Leaders Community (which he founded) with over 1,100 members globally, and is invited to present at numerous conferences, including the Midwest KM Symposium (which he founded) and KMWorld. Stan has published over 900 articles on leadership, innovation, knowledge management, communities of practice, enterprise social networks and social media. He is the author of the Profiles in Knowledge series featuring knowledge management thought leaders.
He is the author of Knowledge Nuggets: 100 KM Infographics, The Five Cs of KM, Handbook of Community Management and Implementing a Successful KM Program, as well as contributing chapters to a number of books on KM.
KENT A. GREENES
Kent has worked internationally in a variety of executive, operations, technology and business renewal roles in energy, engineering and consulting industries. Recognized internationally as a pioneer in Knowledge Management, Fortune Magazine identified him in 1999 as the world’s leading money-maker in the field due to his business impact in the energy industry. Along with Jack Welch and Michael Dell, Kent was recognized as one of the top twenty knowledge leaders in the world by the Teleos Most Admired Knowledge Leaders survey.
Kent worked in British Petroleum for 17 years, where he established one of the world’s first global KM programs, delivering a new source of value for the company. Kent then joined Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) as their first Chief Knowledge Office (CKO), where he engineered a grass-roots approach to KM, introducing and integrating Change Management & Six Sigma practices with KM resulting in millions of dollars of improved cash flow and a shift to more open culture.
Kent started his own consulting practice in 2006 with clients from all over the world including PricewaterhouseCoopers, NASA, Wildland Fire Lessons Learned Center, Petrobras, the U.S. Army and more. Kent’s experience, insights and practices have been documented in many magazines and over twenty books. He has also appeared on several television programs.
Kent is currently the Program Director for The Conference Board’s Knowledge & Collaboration and Change & Transformation Councils, where he holds the honorary title of Senior Fellow in the Human Capital Practice. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Knowledge Management and has been an instructor at the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle. He holds a B.S. Degree in Geosciences from and a M.S Degree in Geophysics from University of Arizona. He also completed the Executive Program from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
PAUL R. GUEVIN III
Lt. Col. Paul R. Guevin III, USAF (ret), Chief Knowledge Officer, US Cyber Command, defines and enacts command strategies, governance, policy, processes, and access for Knowledge, Information, and Data Management. Paul is a senior specialist in KM, Cyber and Information Operations with over 34 distinguished years of experience leading large-budget, mission-critical programs in support of national defense initiatives. He is a Joint Cyber Warrior with significant accomplishments in Special Operations with and in support of Joint US Military Forces and Foreign Military Forces.
Paul is a principal member of the Defense Department Knowledge Management Working Group, integrating KM practices across the Department of Defense.
Paul is also an Adjunct Associate Professor, teaching Knowledge Management, Information Systems, and Cybersecurity with the University of Maryland Global Campus. His previous experience includes Course Director and Instructor, Air Command and Staff College; Adjunct, Faulkner University; and Adjunct, Community College of Southern Nevada.
Paul holds an MS from George Mason University (1994), in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. He is CISSP certified.
JOHN HOVELL
John Hovell (he/him) is the Managing Director and co-founder of STRATactical. He is a practitioner, speaker, and author in OD/KM/DEIA strategies and their application to current organizational challenges. John believes and practices the blend of Organization Development (OD), Knowledge Management (KM), and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). John is on the team to converge these fields and create an emerging new discipline currently known as Conversational Leadership. Clients of STRATactical International report award-winning improvements in organizational performance, customer satisfaction, employee engagement and retention.
John has led 5 different teams that have won awards from Chief Learning Officer magazine. In 2023, he published the book titled Creating Conversational Leadership. In 2015, he was named the 8th most influential person in Knowledge Management. He published a chapter in a book titled "Making It Real: Sustaining Knowledge Management" and became a fellow with the Royal Society for Arts (RSA). Jean-Claude Monney
Jean-Claude Monney is a Digital Transformation and Knowledge Management coach, thought leader, advisor, teacher, speaker and experienced practitioner. Until August 2017, he was Chief Knowledge Officer at Microsoft Services, and with his team, launched the first global knowledge collaboration platform on Microsoft M365 that became an industry showcase. As a practitioner, Jean-Claude has led 3 global Digital Workplace transformations and is considered one of the world’s leading experts in applying KM to drive innovation, productivity and competitiveness. He delivers keynote addresses at major KM industry and customer executive events worldwide, including KMWorld, APQC KM Conference, Internet Librarian Conference, NASA, the World Bank and more than 100 Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Microsoft, Jean-Claude served on several high-tech boards and held executive-level positions including: 17 years at STMicroelectronics where he was Group Vice President for 7 years; 9 years at Digital Equipment Corporation; and 4 years at Motorola Semiconductor. Jean-Claude has an Electronics and Nuclear Physics Engineering degree from the "Ecole Technique Supérieure" of Geneva, Switzerland.
In August 2020, Jean-Claude joined the board of , an innovative knowledge flow platform that solves the problem of fragmented search, knowledge organization and collaboration.
DANIEL RANTA
Daniel Ranta has 25+ years of experience in KM strategy, collaboration, content management, portal design, social networking and measuring business results. He has worked as a KM Leader for large, global companies and as a consulting practice leader in KM. His experiences across industries in understanding corporate challenges/cultures and accelerating the movement from strategy to action are well known and often written about in the KM space. He is currently a KM advisor/consultant for various companies.
ANTHONY J. RHEM
Dr. Anthony J. Rhem is a recognized thought leader, author and consultant in Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Big Data, Information Architecture and Innovation. Since 1990 has served as CEO/Principal Consultant of A.J. Rhem & Associates, a privately held system integration consulting, training & research firm specializing in Knowledge Management (KM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with offices in Chicago, Illinois, and Charlotte North Carolina.

Dawn Sedor
Dawn has a background in digital content management, business intelligence and research. She currently serves as the Science Librarian at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. Dawn holds an MS in Knowledge Management from and is the 2020 recipient of the Thomas B. Froelich Award for academic excellence and promise for leadership in the field of information architecture and knowledge management.
